Recent
Awards Expand the Scope of Accolades for Lilly Software
26 September 2002, Hampton, NH
(USA) — Over its ten year history, industry publications and analysts have
continually recognized Lilly Software’s excellence in providing world-class
functionality and customer service. This
year is no exception; however, in 2002, Lilly Software has added to its
manufacturing accolades with awards for its vertically focused solutions,
including expanded distribution functionality. The list this year includes
awards from Consumer Goods Technology, Inbound Logistics, MSI,
Software Magazine, and Supply Chain e-Business.
Early this year, readers of Consumer Goods Technology ( www.consumergoods.com) voted VISUAL Enterprise™ as one of the 2002 Top 10 Best of Breed solutions for manufacturing. Consumer goods companies need solutions that integrate different areas of their businesses, including order management, production, and fulfillment. Reflecting the need for varied production requirements, this list contains vendors that offer a wide range of enterprise and e-business solutions. Lilly Software’s VISUAL Enterprise system is ideally suited for the high volume market and offers tools to help companies plan materials and warehouses and measure costs. Consumer Goods Technology noted that Lilly Software solutions ranked high in recognition and in customer experience. In April, Inbound Logistics (www.inboundlogistics.com ) included Lilly Software in its Top 100 Logistics Information Technology (LIT) Providers. The Inbound Logistics editorial team selected the Top 100 and compiled an easy reference matrix chart to compare and contrast solutions offered by the winners. The warehouse management system tools in VISUAL Enterprise received favorable reviews for their ability to help companies manage order entry, inventory, billing, and shipping.
In July, the awards
continued with Lilly Software Associates
receiving a place on MSI’s Top 100 Software Vendors for its seventh
year in a row. Based on total 2001 revenues, the magazine ranks leading
software vendors that develop tools for planning, sourcing, making, and
delivering business and production processes. Ranking #49,
Lilly Software’s product development efforts and long-term market
expectations are significant reasons the company made the list. In the
“Lilly Software Top 100 Profile,” MSI states: “Privately held
Lilly Software Associates (LSA) is expanding its product footprint and, at the
same time, taking advantage of Microsoft technologies to deliver new
functionality to existing users and prospects.¼ With .NET development, creating
vertical industry products, and a healthy schedule of product enhancements to
the core VISUAL Enterprise suite, the LSA development labs are busy places.”

Consistent financial performance is the reason Lilly
Software ranks with the world’s largest software and services providers in
the 20th Annual Software 500. In the Summer Edition of Software
Magazine, Lilly Software makes its fifth consecutive appearance on the
list at #305. The Software 500 offers a comprehensive look at the enterprise
software landscape, encompassing both public and private companies that
develop business software and services. Software
Magazine bases its rankings on total worldwide software and services
revenue for 2001 and gathers this information from public documents, industry
analysts, and its vendor survey. The complete list of Software 500 companies
for 2002 can be found at www.softwaremag.com
Lilly is also
proud to find itself ranked among the leading-edge supply chain vendors in the
second annual Supply Chain e-Business Top 100 (www.supplychainbrain.com).
The magazine compiles its list from the answers to questionnaires from over
200 vendors of supply chain solutions detailing facts on sales,
implementations, user profiles, and specific product features and benefits. A
selection committee of consultants, industry experts, and analysts evaluate
these questionnaires and create the Top 100. According to the cover story, The
Supply Chain e-Business Top 100 by Thomas A. Foster, Editor-in-Chief:
“The list identifies market-leading application vendors whose solutions
squarely address today’s supply-chain challenges. In many ways, this list is
the clearest indicator of what types of solutions users are seeking, and how
well specific vendors are communicating the value of their applications.” At
#30, Lilly Software ranks high among the financially stable vendors that were
able to offer customers fast payback and quick implementation on their
software investments.
