Lilly Software Stays Financially Strong and
Competitively Successful in 2001

12 February 2002, Hampton, NH (USA) — As Lilly Software Associates closes on another fiscal year, it attributes its market leadership and the company’s continuing financial strength to its ability to produce user-friendly, innovative enterprise and supply chain products and on its effective associate business model.
As a privately-held company, Lilly Software is focused on its long-term financial performance and maintains an exclusive associate sales and service distribution network. With this independent associate organization, Lilly is able to dedicate over 500 people to the company’s suite of products while directly employing nearly 200 people at the corporate level. Compared to many other software vendors, Lilly Software displays strategic financial advantages and remarkable business achievements. Keeping a lean operating cost structure and employing knowledgeable, committed long-term employees has helped the company’s license and maintenance revenues grow to over 40 million dollars, and has expanded its customer base to more than 3000 customers since its inception in June 1992.
“Unlike many other software companies, Lilly has not only defied this economic downturn by maintaining positive revenue growth, but it also turned a solid profit for the year ending 2001,” says Gregory C. Gorbach, Director of e-Manufacturing at ARC Advisory Group, a strategic corporate planning company headquartered in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Lilly Software has a strong, conservative balance sheet with no long-term debt. It focuses its internally-funded operations on increasing the depth and breadth of its integrated core product line, VISUAL Enterprise®. Lilly’s base of deferred service revenues increases each year, reflecting new software growth, market diversification, and highly favorable maintenance renewal rates from its installed customer base worldwide.
Lilly’s
positive cash flow and profitability reflect the company’s excellent
management capabilities
and expertise. The company continually invests in product development in order
to provide its customers with the resources they need to streamline their
operations and improve deliveries and service. Industry analysts such as AMR
Research, as well as leading trade publications such as Start, MSI,
and Software Magazine, consistently recognize and award Lilly Software
for its strength and accomplishments.
Even
in a tight economy, Lilly Software successfully sells to and implements
cost-effective products and services for manufacturers and distributors. With
profitable operations and applications that produce results, Lilly Software
looks forward to increasing its customer base and to on-going market leadership
in 2002.
